Martin Angst currently serves as the Director of Operations at Roanoke Blacksburg Innovation Alliance since May 2025. Prior to this role, Martin co-founded and served as CEO of Rendyr, a pioneering desktop robotics company focused on empowering makers and small businesses with innovative prototyping tools. Martin has extensive experience in academia, having worked as an adjunct professor at Virginia Tech School of Architecture + Design, and held various research and teaching positions at Virginia Tech, specializing in design robotics and large-scale additive manufacturing. Martin's early career involved internships and collaborative efforts on notable architectural projects, including the conceptual Central Park Observation Tower and the experimental Lo-Fab Pavilion installation at the Design Biennial Boston. Martin holds a Master of Architecture from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Technische Universität Braunschweig.
