Mark Sun

Mark Sun is an accomplished engineering manager with a strong background in software engineering and infrastructure development. Currently at Robinhood since 2019, Mark leads efforts in brokerage infrastructure and the accounting platform. Previous experience includes a software engineer role at Google, focusing on backend for Hangouts Chat, and significant contributions at Clari, where Mark was responsible for various backend innovations and was granted two patents. Prior positions involved work on the Solaris kernel at Oracle and database migration at BlackRock. Mark began a career in academia as a teaching assistant at Columbia University and has a research background from East China Normal University. Mark holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Software Engineering from East China Normal University.
