Nathaniel Knight has over ten years of work experience. In 2010, they worked as a Technical Support to Users at McGill Arts Computer Lab. From 2011 to 2012, they were a Graduate Student at McGill University. In 2012, they were a Msc Candidate at Dalhousie University, where they worked as a TA for courses and labs, and used global chemical transport models with Fortran. From 2015 to 2016, they worked as a Systems Developer at Broadridge Financial Solutions, where they contributed to application development by adding new features and addressing concerns. From 2016 to 2017, they worked as a Junior Engineer at Siaras, where they developed and supported work in Python for the cloudScape multi-cloud orchestration platform and developed internal deployment and testing tools. From 2017 to 2019, they were a Software Engineer at BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS. From 2019 to 2020, they were a Software Developer at Powerex. Currently, they are a Principal Robot (Software Developer) at Robots and Pencils.

Nathaniel Knight attended McGill University from 2006 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics, Math, and English. Nathaniel then attended Dalhousie University from 2012 to 2014, where they completed an All-but-defended degree in Atmospheric Science. In August 2020, they obtained a Triplebyte Certified Generalist Software Engineer certification from Triplebyte.
