Ryan Gialames

Ryan Gialames has over 14 years of experience in product design, UX/UI, and product strategy. In 2022, they were appointed as the Head of Product, Edtech at Robots and Pencils. Prior to that, they were the Sr Director, UX/UI - Distinguished Designer at Western Governors University from 2020-2022, where they led a team of UX and UI designers and researchers, fostering and advocating user-centered design thinking across the organization. From 2016-2020 they were the Director of Product Design at Robots and Pencils, where they oversaw product strategy and design for R&P’s education clients. From 2012-2016 they were the Sr. Director of Product Strategy & UX at Acatar. From 2007-2012 they were the Manager of Online Student Experience and Web Producer II - Student Success at EDMC, where they oversaw the online experience for over 45,000 fully online students and faculty across three educational systems.

Ryan Gialames attended PennWest California from 1998 to 2002, graduating with a BA in Liberal Arts - Theatre. Prior to that, they attended Point Park College/Pittsburgh Filmmakers from 1995 to 1997, studying Filmmaking. Ryan has no additional certifications.
