Henrik Christensen

Henrik Christensen has worked in the field of robotics since 1996. Henrik began their career as the Director of the Center for Autonomous Systems in Sweden, sponsored by the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research. In 2002, they became an advisor for Evolution Robotics, and in 2006 they took on the role of Distinguished Professor and KUKA Chair of Robotics at Georgia Tech. In 2013, they became a Co-Founder of ROBO Global and a Member of the Board of the Robotic Industries Association. In 2016, they took on the roles of Distinguished Professor at the UC San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering and Qualcomm Chancellor's Chair in Robot Systems, as well as Director of the Contextual Robotics Institute. In 2019, they became a Co-Founder of Robust.AI.

Henrik Christensen began their educational journey in 1979 at Frederikshavn Technical College, where they completed an apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering. In 1981, they attended Aalborg University and completed an Entry Level Exam. Henrik then continued their studies at Aalborg University, earning a M. Sc. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 1987. Finally, they completed a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Aalborg University in 1990.
