Charles Colby began their career in 1978 as a Research Assistant at the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. In 1980, they became a Research Director at Westat. Charles then held the same role at Woelfel Research and Citicorp from 1986 to 1990. In 1990, they moved to Opinion Research Corporation as a Research Director. Finally, in 1992 they founded Rockbridge Associates, Inc. where they currently serve as the Principal, Chief Methodologist, and Chairman. Charles is also responsible for managing client relationships, mentoring staff, and helping with long-range strategy.

Charles Colby completed their Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Maryland in 1978, followed by an MBA from the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business in 1980.
