Ashok Seetharaman

Ashok Seetharaman has an extensive work experience spanning over 20 years. Ashok is currently working as the Vice President of Cloud & Data Engineering at Rocket Lawyer since March 2021. Prior to this, they were the Head of Technical Operations at Poynt from September 2019 to March 2021. At Poynt, they were responsible for building operational excellence, managing cloud operations, release pipelines, and infrastructure management. Ashok also handled budgeting, cost analysis, capacity planning, and vendor contract negotiations for Poynt's cloud strategy.

Before joining Poynt, Ashok worked at Roku Inc. from September 2016 to September 2019 as part of the Cloud Infrastructure & Engineering, Programs, and Release team. Ashok also co-founded and served as the CTO of nOps in 2016, where they developed a lifecycle management SaaS platform for cloud applications.

In 2015, Ashok worked as an Engineering Leader at Cloudera, leading three teams responsible for builds, release, packaging, integration, and engineering infrastructure. Prior to that, they were a Senior Software Development Manager - Release Engineering at Xyratex from October 2012 to January 2015. Ashok managed a geographically dispersed team and implemented agile processes and automation to support software releases.

Ashok's career started at Google in 2005, where they held roles in Release Management, Release Engineering, and Configuration Management. Ashok developed release documentation, implemented communication frameworks, and established best practices for release management. Before Google, they worked at Selectica as a Staff Engineer, managing a release engineering team.

Ashok began their professional journey at IBM Global Services in 1998 as an IT Specialist. Ashok worked on various research projects using Java and XML and was part of the analysis, design, and development team for the Pervasive Client Demonstrator.

Ashok Seetharaman completed their Bachelor's degree in Physics at Bishop Heber College from 1992 to 1995. Ashok then pursued a Masters in Computer Applications at the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli from 1995 to 1998. Later, from 2006 to 2008, they obtained a Masters in Business Administration with a specialization in International Business and General Management from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University.
