Andy Covert

Andy Covert has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Andy started their career in the US Navy in 1989 as a Naval Officer/Aviator, where they served until 2015. Afterward, they joined the Joint Staff as a Strategic Planner from 2014 to 2015. Andy then worked at the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV) as a Program Section Head from 2009 to 2012. Covert also served as the Commanding Officer and Executive Officer at Helicopter Mine Countermeasures Squadron FOURTEEN (HM-14) from 2007 to 2009. Andy later joined the Naval Air Facility/Navy Operational Support Center (NOSC) Washington, DC as the Commanding Officer (CO) from 2012 to 2014. Covert then moved to ARServices, where they held various roles, including Project Manager, Operations Director, Vice President, and Executive Vice President of Operations from 2015 to 2023. Most recently, they joined Rockwood Company, LLC, as the Director of Operations in 2023.

Andy Covert has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nautical Science from Maine Maritime Academy. Andy also obtained the qualification of Aviation Safety Officer from the Naval Post Graduate School, School of Aviation Safety. Furthermore, they hold a Master of Arts degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College. In terms of certifications, they are a Project Management Professional (PMP) certified by the Project Management Institute. Additionally, they are a commercially instrument-rated fixed and rotary wing pilot certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
