Matthew Carter

Matthew Carter is an experienced educator and writer with a strong background in special education. Currently serving as a special education teacher at St. Lucie Public Schools since July 2019, Matthew focuses on individualizing education to help students achieve and exceed their goals. Prior roles include substitute teaching at Romulus Community Schools and a previous position as a special education teacher at Old Redford Academy. Matthew's experience also includes working as an adult sitter and package handler. Matthew holds multiple advanced degrees in special education from Eastern Michigan University, where a bachelor's degree in creative writing was also obtained.
