Alok Prakash

Alok Prakash has a diverse and extensive work experience. Alok started their career as a Summer Intern at Azyme Biosciences Pvt. Ltd. in 2011. Alok then worked as a Management Trainee at Britannia Industries Limited and Godrej Consumer Products Limited in 2012. In 2013, they were a Taiwan International Graduate Program Fellow at National Taiwan University.

Alok joined Roquette in 2014 and held several roles within the company. Alok started as a Roquette Scholar and Process Engineer in France from September 2014 to August 2016. Alok then worked as an Assistant Manager in the Technical Cell in India from September 2016 to October 2018. Alok then transitioned to the role of R&D Pilot and Innovation Process Manager in China from November 2018 to June 2021. Alok achieved success in designing and commissioning the R&D Pilot Plant at Roquette China - Lianyungang site, and was involved in pilot trials and industrial process design for R&D Innovation projects. Alok gained valuable experience in mass-balance calculations and operational cost calculations for plant-based ingredient processing, as well as developing innovation strategies for the starch, proteins, and sweeteners portfolio. From July 2021 to December 2022, Alok served as R&D and Innovation Manager for Roquette in the APAC region. Currently, they hold the role of Innovation Project Lead in the APAC region, starting in January 2023.

Alok Prakash has a strong educational background in the field of business and technology. Alok holds an Executive MBA from SKEMA Business School, specializing in International Business, which they completed from 2023-2025. Prior to that, they completed an executive education program in Strategy in the Age of Digital Disruption from INSEAD in 2021. Alok also has a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Sustainable Food Technology and Management, obtained from ISA Lille during 2014-2016. Alok gained research experience in the field of Food Science and Technology as a Research Intern at National Taiwan University in 2013. Alok's bachelor's degree is a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Biotechnology, earned from Vellore Institute of Technology from 2010-2014. Additionally, Alok has obtained certifications in project management and digital transformation for leaders from LinkedIn in 2021.
