Benjamin Good has a diverse work experience in the field of data science, artificial intelligence, and bioinformatics. Benjamin currently serves as the Senior Director of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at ROSALIND. Previously, they worked as the Senior Director of Platform and Knowledge Engineering at Data4Cure, Inc. Prior to that, Benjamin worked as a Consultant at Berkeley Lab, where they contributed to expanding the Semantic Web for the life sciences. Benjamin also held various positions at The Scripps Research Institute, including Assistant Professor of Molecular and Experimental Medicine, Senior Staff Scientist, and Post Doctoral Scientist. Benjamin was a Postdoctoral Fellow at GNF, where they focused on developing a text-mining pipeline. Benjamin also worked as the Director of Web Technologies at trueidapps, where they designed and developed websites and web services for applications on Apple iPhone and iPod Touch. Additionally, Benjamin co-founded Freeform Information, a company that aimed to provide competitive intelligence data to the biotechnology industry. Benjamin'searly career includes roles as a Graduate Student at The University of British Columbia, and as a Research Associate at UCSD. Benjamin's expertise includes database design, web development, analysis of amino acid sequence data, and machine learning.

Benjamin Good completed their education in Bioinformatics by obtaining their Ph.D. from The University of British Columbia between 2003 and 2009. Prior to that, they pursued an MSc in Evolutionary and Adaptive Systems at the University of Sussex from 1999 to 2000. Benjamin began their academic journey with a BSc in cognitive science from UC San Diego, which they accomplished between 1994 and 1998.
