Sune Lægaard

Associate Dean For Education at Roskilde University

Sune Lægaard is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in philosophy and education. Currently serving as Associate Dean for Education and Deputy Head of Department at Roskilde University since January 2010, Sune Lægaard also holds the position of Associate Professor in practical philosophy. In addition, Sune Lægaard is the Head of Studies for Philosophy and Science Studies at the Danish Institute for Human Rights and has been a Board Member at Roskilde Katedralskole since September 2019, where Sune Lægaard is also Chairman of the Board. As Editor in Chief of Res Publica, Sune Lægaard oversees an interdisciplinary journal focusing on moral, political, and legal philosophy. Sune Lægaard serves on the Steering Committee for the European Consortium for Political Research and has held board member positions with various organizations, including the Norwegian Research Council. With a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Copenhagen, Sune Lægaard's research includes political philosophy, normative ethics, and issues surrounding nationalism and multiculturalism.
