Pierre Larin

Pierre Larin has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Pierre is currently working as a Senior Product Verification Specialist at Ross Video since September 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Grass Valley for five years as a Specialist, Project solutions & QA, where they reviewed, configured, tested, and deployed customized monitoring and control solutions for major cable companies and broadcasters.

Before joining Grass Valley, Pierre worked at Autodesk for ten years. During their time there, they held the position of Senior QA Production/Interoperability Specialist, where they worked in different agile teams and used their experience, networking skills, and problem-solving abilities to deliver high-value features to users. Their responsibilities included recreating production simulations, validating usability redesign efforts, leading QA for upgrades, and addressing data integrity and performance issues reported by major customers, resulting in a significant reduction in support calls.

Prior to their time at Autodesk, Pierre worked at Autodesk (Discreet) as a QA Team Lead, where they managed a team of testers, built test plans, managed the beta program, organized customer visits, streamlined customer support processes, and assessed release readiness.

Pierre also has experience at Discreet Logic as a QA Editor and at PMT Video as an Online Editor & Technical Director. Their work at PMT Video provided him with exposure to various production and post-production roles, including online editing and technical direction. Pierre started their career as an Assistant Online Editor at CME.

Pierre Larin attended the IOQ - Institut Ordinique du Quebec from 1985 to 1987. During this time, they pursued a degree in DEC Technologie de systèmes ordonnés, specializing in programming, electronics, and interfaces.
