Hilary Heuler is a seasoned freelance researcher and journalist with extensive experience in budget transparency, civil society advocacy, and travel writing. Since 2007, Hilary has conducted significant research for the International Budget Partnership in Kenya and contributed to various media outlets, including Voice of America and the Christian Science Monitor. Hilary has updated guidebooks for Rough Guides, covering numerous countries, and played a key role in training journalists in South Sudan. Previous roles include public information work for the World Food Programme and service as an Education Volunteer with the Peace Corps in Guinea. Hilary holds an MSc in History of International Relations from The London School of Economics and Political Science and a BA in History from Wellesley College.
