Jeff Kent, MBET

Jeff Kent, MBET, has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Jeff most recently worked as a Senior Product Manager at Routeware, Inc. starting in February 2022. Prior to that, they served as a Digital Product Manager at The GoCycle app from February 2021 to December 2021, where they developed a cycling app with an A.I. Coach feature.

From April 2020 to February 2021, Jeff worked as a Product Manager, IoT Systems, at WELL Systems Inc. Jeff then founded their own consulting company, Kent Success Consulting Ltd., where they worked as a Product Innovation Strategy Specialist from January 2018 to March 2020.

Before that, Jeff held various roles including Senior Project Manager at RAMP Inc. (February 2017 to October 2017), Innovation Program Consultant at TD (January 2016 to September 2016), and Business Consultant, Wireless IoT, at eleven-x (September 2015 to February 2016).

Jeff's early career involved working as an Automation Project Manager at Stackpole International (February 2000 to January 2010), where they managed automation projects, handled budgeting and procurement, and led cross-functional teams.

Throughout their career, Jeff has demonstrated expertise in product management, innovation strategy, and project management. Jeff holds both a B.Com and MBET degree.

Jeff Kent, MBET, attended various educational institutions and obtained certifications throughout their career. In 1994 to 1996, they pursued a Mechatronics Specialist degree at Humber College, focusing on robotics, automation design, and industrial controls. Later, from 2011 to 2015, they earned an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree in Business Commerce and Management from York University. In 2015 to 2016, Jeff attended the University of Waterloo, where they completed a Master of Business, Entrepreneurship & Technology degree with a specialization in Technology Innovation and Business Management.

In addition to their formal education, Jeff has also obtained several certifications. Jeff acquired the PMC Level IV and Pragmatic Certified Product Manager certifications from Pragmatic Institute in October 2022. Jeff also completed the Product Academy Fundamentals program offered by McKinsey & Company in August 2022. Jeff obtained the Agile with Atlassian Jira certification from Atlassian in February 2022. Furthermore, they completed the Modern Big Data Analysis with SQL course by Cloudera in October 2021, the Interaction Design program at UC San Diego in September 2021, and the Big Data Analytics course at UC San Diego in January 2021. Before that, in November 2020, Jeff obtained the Digital Product Management certification from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. Lastly, in June 2020, they completed the Data Science: R Basics course offered by HarvardX - An Online Learning Initiative by Harvard University through edX.
