Skye Dorsett

Skye Dorsett has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Skye started their career at Oregon State University as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant in 2000 and later became a Graduate Teaching Assistant from 2002 to 2008. During this time, they also worked as a Controls Engineer at IdaTech from 2001 to 2002.

In 2008, Skye joined Affirma Consulting as a Senior Software Engineer and remained in this role until 2010. Skye then moved on to Mt. Hood Community College as an Adjunct Physics Professor from 2011 to 2012. Subsequently, they worked as a Physics Instructor at Oregon State University from 2013 to 2014.

Following their teaching experience, Skye joined Opus Creative Group as a Software Developer in 2010. In this role, they created custom software applications and content management systems for various businesses. Skye worked closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects were completed within specified timelines and budgets.

Skye's most recent work experience is at Routeware, Inc. Starting as a Senior Software Engineer in 2015, they progressed to the position of Principal Software Architect from 2019 to 2021. Currently, they hold the role of Director of Optimization, which they began in January 2022.

Skye Dorsett earned a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from Oregon State University from 1996 to 2001. Following this, they pursued further studies, obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics from the same institution between 2002 and 2008.
