Debbie Holdsworth

Debbie Holdsworth has a comprehensive and diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Debbie currently serves as the Director Funding for Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand, where they lead the commissioning of health services for multiple districts with a combined population of over 1.7 million. Prior to this, they held various positions at Waitematā District Health Board, including Director of Funding and Acting Chief Operating Officer. Their responsibilities included strategic planning, financial management, relationship management, and monitoring to ensure effective allocation of funding for health services. Debbie has also worked as a Senior Project Manager at DBK Consulting Ltd and held managerial positions at White Cross Group and Calan Corporate Services. Debbie's early career included roles as a Resident Medical Officer at Auckland Area Health Board and as a Clinical Advisor and Project Manager at South Auckland Health.

Debbie Holdsworth has a diverse education history in various fields. Debbie completed the Te Pōkaitahi Reo Kaupae Tuatoru program at Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi, focusing on the study of the Māori language. Debbie also pursued a Fellowship Training Program in Medical Leadership and Management at the Royal Australasian College Medical Administrators. Additionally, Debbie Holdsworth obtained a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree from The University of Auckland, specializing in medicine. Debbie further expanded their knowledge in health systems law through a Health Systems Law Intensive at the University of Otago.

Apart from their medical education, Debbie Holdsworth holds a Bachelor of Human Biology (BHB) degree from The University of Auckland, emphasizing their interest in medicine and biological sciences.
