Derek Kohn

Derek Kohn is a design and product professional with experience spanning from 2011 to 2021. In 2011, they co-founded Impressto.com, a buy and sell marketplace for digital creative assets, and was Design Director at Launch That. In 2012, they were Design/UX Lead at CarWoo!, which was acquired by TrueCar. Derek was also an Advisor at MOOV INC, helping the founding team shape their 0-1 product, vision and strategy. In 2013, they were Staff User Experience Designer and Sr. Manager Design (Head of Design Content Experience) at LinkedIn. In 2017, they were Design Director (Head of Design and Research) at GoFundMe, where they built and scaled the design/research functions and led the team to launch new features and functionality. In 2018, they were Design Manager at Facebook. In 2019, they were Design Manager (Head of Design SMB) at Instagram, where they were a Pillar Lead helping small businesses build successful brands on Instagram. In 2021, they became Head of Product, Founding Team at Royal.io and Limited Partner at Weekend Fund, a venture fund managed by Ryan Hoover of Product Hunt and Vedika Jain.
