Head Of Content Transformation at Royal Pharmaceutical Society

Kiri Aikman has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Starting in 2011, they worked as an Intern Pharmacist at Auckland District Health Board, gaining valuable knowledge and skills. Kiri then went on to become a Clinical Pharmacist, specializing in various areas such as General Medicine, Surgery, Mental Health, Pediatrics, and Neonatal Intensive Care. During their time with the health board, they also took on the role of Senior Pharmacist Medicines Information, where they provided medical information, problem-solving, medical writing, and project management.

In 2013, Kiri joined the New Zealand Medical Assistance Team as a Team Member and Lead Pharmacist, providing assistance in various healthcare situations.

In 2017, they transitioned to the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, where they held multiple roles. Kiri began as a Clinical Writer before becoming a Lead Writer for projects. Kiri then became a Content Manager, overseeing content strategy, and eventually rose to the position of Head of New Content. In this role, Kiri led a team of clinical and scientific writers, implementing and delivering a new content strategy that included clinical decision-support tools and novel product offerings.

Throughout their career, Kiri has demonstrated expertise in data-driven design, implementation of cloud-based solutions, quality assurance, and effective communication. Kiri has also been actively involved in professional organizations and academic institutions, serving on committees and acting as a guest lecturer and tutor.

Kiri Aikman's education history begins in 2007 when they attended the University of Otago and pursued a Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) degree, which they completed in 2010. In 2013, they attended the same university again and earned a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Pharmacy. Following that, from 2014 to 2015, Kiri pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy with Distinction at the University of Otago.

In 2016, Kiri attended The University of Auckland and achieved a Certificate of Proficiency in Teaching in the Clinical Setting. Later on, in 2020, they pursued a Foundation program at SNOMED CT.

Currently, Kiri is enrolled at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Sloan Executive School of Management, where they are studying Artificial Intelligence in Health Care without a specified end date.
