Miguel Angel Tavares

Miguel Angel Tavares currently serves as the Lead Partner of Corporate and International Taxes at RSM México in Mexico City since June 2023, following a robust career in tax consulting. Prior to this role, Miguel held the position of Tax Partner at Business Tax Consulting Mexico since May 2013, and was the Tax Practice Managing Partner at Baker Tilly México S.C. from June 2017 to April 2019. Miguel's earlier experience includes a tenure as a Tax Senior Manager at Deloitte between January 2003 and May 2013, and a foundational role at Arthur Andersen from January 2000 to December 2002. Their expertise encompasses tax planning, corporate restructuring, mergers, tax advisory, and international taxes. Miguel obtained an Executive Development (D-1) degree from IPADE Business School in 2016, a Master's in Taxation from Instituto de Especialización para Ejecutivos, S.C. in 2002, and a degree in Public Accounting from Instituto Politécnico Nacional in 1995.
