Matej Praprotnik

Matej Praprotnik has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and companies. Matej is currently serving as the Bicycle Mayor of Ljubljana at BYCS since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Guest Lecturer at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Social Sciences starting from September 2020. Matej also held positions at RTV Slovenija, where they served as Assistant Director of Radio Strategies from August 2012 and worked as a Journalist and Editor from May 2001 to August 2012. Additionally, they worked as a Lecturer at Povej na glas from March 2009 to January 2010, and as a Journalist at Koroški radio from 1996 to 2001.

Matej Praprotnik attended the University of Ljubljana from 1997 to 2002, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Communication Science (FDV). In 2001, they also studied at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa for a year, earning another Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Communication Science (FCSH). In 2010, Matej participated in an Innovation Journalism Fellowship program at Stanford University. Recently, in 2021, they completed a program called Product Immersion for Small Newsrooms at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY. Note that the field of study is not mentioned for their fellowship and recent program.
