Shreya Satagopan has worked in a variety of positions since 2016. Shreya began as a Summer Intern at Gokula Metropolis Clinical Laboratories in Bangalore, where they conducted analysis of blood samples, Tri-Dot tests to diagnose HIV, and fractionation of whole blood. In 2017, they were a Research Intern at Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bangalore, where they established that PCR diagnosis of patient samples is more efficient and faster in more than 90% of cases than traditional methods of diagnosis. Shreya also carried out initial diagnosis of cells using Giemsa staining, followed by DNA or RNA extraction using conventional methods of extraction and kit-based methods. In 2018, they were a Graduate Intern at Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment. In 2019, they were a Graduate Teaching Assistant at The University of Texas at Dallas. In 2021, they became a Research Associate at Applied StemCell. Shreya is currently a Research Associate at Rubedo Life Sciences.
Shreya Satagopan has a diverse educational background. From 2002 to 2012, they attended Vidya Niketan School and earned their High School Diploma. From 2012 to 2014, they attended Cmr National Pu College and earned their High School Diploma with a focus in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology. From 2014 to 2018, they attended Ramaiah Institute Of Technology and earned their Bachelor of Engineering in Biotechnology. Finally, from 2019 to 2021, they are currently attending The University of Texas at Dallas and is pursuing their Master's degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology.
