Piotr Piotrowiak

Piotr Piotrowiak is the Vice Chancellor for Research and Collaborations at Rutgers University-Newark. Piotr has held this position since July 2018. Prior to that, they served as the Acting Vice Chancellor for Research and Collaborations from January 2018 to June 2018. Piotr also served as the Chair of the Department of Chemistry at Rutgers University-Newark from July 2017 to September 2018. Piotr Piotrowiak began their career as an Associate Professor of Chemistry at Rutgers University-Newark in January 1997 and served in that role until June 2002. From there, they went on to serve as an Associate Professor of Chemistry at the University of New Orleans from July 1996 to December 1996. Piotr then became an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at the University of New Orleans from September 1991 to June 1996. In December 1988, Piotrowiak began their career as a Postdoctoral Associate at Argonne National Laboratory, where they worked until August 1991.

Piotr Piotrowiak obtained their PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Chicago and their MS in Chemical Physics from the University of Wroclaw.

They are on a team with Sherri-Ann Butterfield - Executive Vice Chancellor, Rutgers University–Newark, Corlisse Thomas - Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, Rutgers University–Newark, and William McCarthy - Dean, School of Criminal Justice, Rutgers University–Newark.
