Russell then joined Aon Benfield as a Catastrophe Risk Analyst, analyzing client data and evaluating models for reinsurance pricing. Russell further expanded their expertise at SCOR, where they served as a Senior Natural Catastrophe Pricing Analyst, focusing on pricing and providing insights for SCOR's Canadian portfolio. At Ryan Specialty Group, they worked as a Senior Catastrophe Modeler, ensuring data integrity and conducting complex analyses. Russell also worked at AIG as a Portfolio Reporting Manager, contributing to the company's reporting efforts. In their most recent role at Ryan Specialty, Russell holds the position of Director, Catastrophe Risk & Analytics at RSG. Russell Penicook, CPCU, ARe completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Actuarial Science from Illinois State University from 2010 to 2014. Russell has also obtained additional certifications including CCRA from RMS in 2018, and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter and Associates in Reinsurance from The Institutes in 2016 and 2015 respectively.
