Josh Gibbins, P.Eng. has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering. Josh is currently holding the role of Building Systems Engineer Team Lead at RYCOM since August 2021. Prior to this, they worked at WalterFedy from 2015 to 2021, where they served as the Practice Lead and Energy Engineer for the Energy and Carbon Solutions team. During this time, they provided direction on analytics, deliverables, and quality assurance for the team, and was involved in various technical solutions related to feasibility studies, audits, net-zero pathways, energy modeling, and mechanical system evaluations. In 2015, they also played a crucial role in improving the process of creating technical reports. Before their tenure at WalterFedy, Josh had worked at AECOM as a Mechanical Engineer in Building Services from 2014 to 2015. Their earlier experience includes roles at WalterFedy as a Mechanical Engineer from 2012 to 2014 and as a Mechanical Designer from 2006 to 2012. During this time, they worked on the development of construction contract documents for various facilities and was the primary mechanical designer for the LEED Platinum certified Environment 3 building at the University of Waterloo.

Josh Gibbins, P.Eng. pursued their education in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Waterloo. Josh completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree from 1999 to 2004. Josh further advanced their knowledge in the field by obtaining a Master of Applied Science (MASc) degree from the same university between 2004 and 2006.

In addition to their educational achievements, Josh Gibbins also obtained several certifications. Josh became a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) through the Association of Energy Engineers in May 2019. Furthermore, they received the Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation from the Professional Engineers Ontario in December 2012.
