Rachida Bouchikh Zakour has worked in a variety of roles since 2014. Rachida was a waitress at Circus Arts Foundation from 2014 to 2018. In 2018, they became a Graduate Research Fellow at the Universitat de Barcelona in the Antiox Group. In 2019, they worked as a Shop Assistant at Good News Co. From 2020 to 2022, they were a Research Assistant at AgroFresh, where they collaborated on essays focused on the 1-MCP in order to avoid food waste and extend the shelf life of fruits. Rachida also developed and revised Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Currently, they are a Research Associate at Ryp Labs (formerly StixFresh).
Rachida Bouchikh Zakour obtained a Grado in Biology from the Universitat de Barcelona in 2020. Rachida then went on to pursue a Máster in Environmental Agrobiology from the same university, which they are currently completing. In addition, they hold an Advance Certificate in English (C1) from the University of Cambridge, which they obtained in September 2022, and a B1 French certification from EOI escuela oficial de idiomas Figueras, which they obtained in July 2014.
