Berta Solà Sau

Berta Solà Sau has extensive work experience in geotechnical engineering. From 2014 to 2022, they worked as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at PRO GEO Geotechnical Consultants, specializing in the analysis of complex problems in Geotechnical Engineering and Geosciences. Berta'sresponsibilities included tunnel design, underground projects, harbour geotechnical engineering, soil improvement, special foundations, rock mechanics, seismic engineering, and sanitary landfills. Berta also prepared technical engineering reports in different languages. In 2022, they joined SAALG Geomechanics as a Geotechnical Engineer, focusing on advanced numerical solutions, numerical models calibrations, and soil & rock parameters characterization through backanalysis. SAALG Geomechanics aims to bridge the gap between academic research and the industry in geomechanics.

Berta Solà Sau attended the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya from 2008 to 2014, where they pursued a degree in Geological Engineering. Berta'sfield of study was focused on engineering. In 2012, Berta participated in an exchange program and studied at the Norges teknisk-naturvitenskapelige universitet (NTNU) for a year. During this period, they continued their studies in Geological Engineering, but specifically focused on petroleum science and technology.
