Stephen Ogundeji has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. In 2010, they worked as a FT Officer at Bank PHB Plc, where they handled various tasks such as funds transfer, loan disbursement, and customer acquisition. From 2011 to 2014, they worked as a Human Resource and Operations Manager at Valad Consult LTD, overseeing recruitment, performance management, policy development, and training coordination. At eHealth Systems Africa from 2014 to 2015, they served as the Operations Team Lead, monitoring and evaluating projects, ensuring operational safety, and providing support to different unit managers. From 2015 to 2016, they were an HR Generalist - Intern at Intern Rec Ltd, where they handled HR tasks such as recruitment, learning and development, and job profiling. Stephen then moved on to become an HR Representative - Intern, where they further developed their skills in performance appraisal, recruitment, policy development, and employee training. From 2017 to 2019, they worked at eHealth Africa as a Human Resource Coordinator, managing recruitment processes, maintaining talent pipelines, promoting diversity, and overseeing onboarding and training. Most recently, they joined Sabi in 2022 as the Head of Talent Management, responsible for implementing talent management processes, designing talent development initiatives, and building an engaged and enabled workforce across multiple countries.

Stephen Ogundeji's education history includes a Master of Science (MSc) in International Human Resource Management (IHRM) from Coventry University. Stephen also holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Business Administration, Management, and Operations from Ambrose Alli University. In addition, Stephen obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resources Management and Services from Bayero University, Kano. Stephen has also completed a Certificate in Global Leadership Program from Coventry University. Furthermore, Stephen obtained a Certificate in Human Resource for Health (HRH) basics from the Global Health e-Learning Center in August 2014.
