Luvuyo Gqeke has worked in aviation security for over 15 years. Luvuyo began their career with the South African Civil Aviation Authority in February 2005, where they worked as the Manager of AirCargo Security. In November 2008, they joined South African Airways as the AVSEC Manager of Hub Operations and Cargo. Luvuyo held this position until January 2013, when they left to join the SACAA as their Executive of Aviation Security.

Luvuyo Gqeke has a BCOM in Management from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika.
