Zach Miller

Zachary Miller, AICP, currently serves as Principal Planner at the Sacramento Area Council of Governments since July 2023. Prior to this position, Zachary accumulated extensive experience in transportation and environmental planning, notably as a Senior Transportation/Environmental Planner at Ascent Environmental, Inc. from November 2015 to July 2023 and as a Transportation Planner at Kimley-Horn from July 2011 to October 2015. Earlier roles include Graduate Research Assistant at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, where Zachary contributed to a project on Demand-Responsive Transit, and positions as a Transportation Planning and Engineering Intern, Assistant Planner, and Planning Intern. Zachary holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering with a focus on Transportation Planning and a Master of Science in City and Regional Planning from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies and Planning from UC San Diego.
