Alberto D. Rodriguez has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Alberto D. started their career as an Automated Tester at Tapestry Solutions in 2018, where they created automated tests for the GOLDesp application. Their significant contribution was improving communication between test authors and programmers. In 2019, Alberto joined REACH as a Full Stack Software Engineer, working on building and maintaining a data visualization application. Alberto D. used PostgresSQL, ASP.NET, and React for the web application. During the same year, they also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, collaborating with the University of Notre Dame on Semantically-Enhanced Software Traceability. Alberto's role involved applying automated techniques to generate trace links between various artifacts. In 2020, Alberto became a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Notre Dame, where they developed a web application using React and Django to visualize trace links using natural language processing techniques. Their most recent role is as the Chief Technology Officer at SAFA, a project they have been passionate about since their Ph.D. journey. As the only programmer and system architect, Alberto re-built SAFA's production-grade system using cloud services.
Alberto D. Rodriguez earned a High School Diploma from Vintage High School in the years 2012 to 2016. Alberto D. then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Software Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 2016 to 2021. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the same university from 2019 to 2021. Currently, Alberto is attending the University of Notre Dame, where they are working towards a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science, which they are expected to complete in 2025.
