Miriam Zuniga

Miriam Zuniga is a bilingual client advocate at Safe Shores - The DC Children's Advocacy Center, with previous experience as a helpline intern at NAMI, where over 780 mental health callers received support. As a paralegal at Sanabria & Associates, Miriam handled immigration claims and court filings, while also providing bilingual client interviews and document translations. Earlier roles included clinical assistant and intern at Puentes: Advocacy, Counseling & Education, where Miriam conducted psychosocial evaluations and community outreach. Education includes a Master's degree in Forensic Psychology from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Whitman College, where Miriam also served as president of Borders As Method and First Generation Working Class.
