Emily Smith

Emily Smith, SHRM-CP, PHR, has a strong background in human resources and extensive experience in various HR roles. Starting in 2005 at Worthington Industries, they worked their way up from a Human Resources Representative to a Human Resources Manager, Senior Human Resources Manager, and finally a Human Resources Operations Manager. At Worthington Industries, Emily supported multiple teams and projects, contributed to the strategic plan for the business and HR Center of Excellence, and handled HR initiatives such as succession planning and workforce planning. In 2018, they moved to Wendy's as the Manager of HR Analytics, Projects & HRIS. In this role, they led the implementation of a new Human Capital Management platform and managed the selection and delivery of new global technologies. Emily then became the Director of Human Resources Operations at The Wendy's Company in 2021, where they demonstrated strong leadership skills by overseeing three HR functional teams and providing thought leadership in HR technology solutions and employee experience optimization. Currently, they hold the position of Director of People at Safelite.

Emily Smith, SHRM-CP, PHR has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Otterbein University. Emily also holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree from the University of Dayton. In addition, they have obtained certifications in SHRM-CP from SHRM in 2015 and PHR from HRCI.
