Matthew Williams

Matthew Williams has a diverse work experience in various industries. Matthew started their career as a Sales Assistant at Dunelm (Soft Furnishings) Ltd, where they gained customer interaction skills and learned how to manage stock and handle money. Matthew then worked as Bar Staff at Park Hill Golf Club, where they utilized their skills to provide excellent service and handle pressure during events.

During their time at Nexeon Ltd as a Summer Intern, Matthew analyzed material from SEM images and created spreadsheets to track progress. Matthew also learned about the production of materials.

Matthew gained research experience as a Research Technician at SATRA Technology Centre, where they conducted experiments on material permeability and absorption for a year-long industrial placement.

At Renishaw, Matthew held multiple roles, including Applications Engineer, Design/Development Engineer, and Operations Manager at SafeMoon. Matthew worked on projects involving 3D printing, machine tool training, and system architecture, and made significant contributions to improve build quality and increase metal powder reuse life.

Matthew also briefly worked as a Door Supervisor at Loughborough Students' Union.

Most recently, Matthew served as a Customer Applications Engineer (Secondment) at HiETA Technologies, where they worked on customer applications and provided engineering support.

Overall, Matthew has a strong background in engineering, research, customer service, and operations management.

Matthew Williams attended Cowbridge Comprehensive School from 2006 to 2013. Matthew then went on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering at Loughborough University from 2013 to 2017.
