Francois BASTIN has extensive experience in the aerospace industry, particularly with Safran since 1997. Currently serving as CEO of Safran Landing Systems since 2015, BASTIN has held several key positions, including VP of Commercial Engines and Executive Vice President of CFM, a joint venture with General Electric. Prior to this, BASTIN was the LEAP Program Director, overseeing the development of a major aircraft engine replacement, and previously managed the Lean-Sigma transformation of the Industrial Division. Early in the career at Safran, BASTIN held roles in engineering management across various functions. BASTIN holds a Post Doctorate from Stanford University, a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from CentraleSupélec, and a Master's degree from Ecole normale supérieure.
