Jonathan Hanson

Jonathan Hanson is an experienced software engineering manager with a strong background in hardware production, testing, and infrastructure development. Currently serving as Software Engineering Manager and Staff Software Engineer at Saildrone Inc since May 2022, Jonathan has previously held key roles at Skydio as a Software Engineering Manager, leading a team focused on software infrastructure for manufacturing. Jonathan’s earlier experience includes positions as Head of Engineering at Mat3ra.com, where Jonathan spearheaded the development of a scientific-computation-as-a-service product, and as a Senior Ops Engineer at Crunchyroll, managing large media-streaming infrastructure. Jonathan's expertise also extends to roles at Planet., KIXEYE, Mashery, NetShapers, Inc., and the LSU Department of Physics & Astronomy, highlighting a robust history in software development, systems integration, and research in scientific applications.
