Shabir Rahim

Shabir Rahim has a diverse work experience spanning from 2000 to the present. Shabir began their career at Boeing, where they worked on NASA's Space Shuttle program. Shabir was later recruited for a leadership development program at Boeing and gained experience in various areas including finance, accounting, project management, and mergers and acquisitions. At the completion of the program, they oversaw financial reporting, budgeting, and divisional finance at Boeing.

Following their time at Boeing, Rahim worked at Duff & Phelps as a Vice President, where they served as a financial advisor to public and privately held clients, supervising teams on multiple projects. Shabir also designed an Advanced Excel techniques course for new hire analyst training.

Rahim then co-founded SR Capital Partners, LLC, a private equity firm focused on investing in mature-stage companies. Shabir led the M&A transaction process and served as a strategic CFO for one of the portfolio companies.

After their work at SR Capital Partners, Rahim joined AeroVironment, a publicly traded technology-focused growth company, as the Director of Corporate Finance & FP&A. Shabir led financial analysis and planning, provided guidance on capital structure, and evaluated M&A opportunities.

Rahim then worked as the Corporate Controller at ProducePay, a high-growth financial technology company, where they implemented robust financial and accounting processes, enhanced reporting tools, and restructured the department for efficiency.

At Mason Controls, a TransDigm Group Company, Rahim served as the Division Controller and led the accounting/finance, IT, contracts, and trade compliance departments. Shabir focused on post-acquisition integration, establishing a high-performance finance and accounting team, and transforming the culture of the departments.

Rahim then joined Career Technologies as the Head of Finance and Controller, where they led the finance and accounting function and oversaw the overhaul of financials, establishment of cost accounting processes, implementation of a new ERP system, and scaling of the team.

Currently, Rahim is the CFO / Head of Finance at Saleae, Inc., a growth-oriented privately-held company in the electrical testing market. Shabir leads the finance/accounting, business operations, and HR administration functions.

Shabir Rahim's education history includes a variety of degrees and certifications. In 2004, Shabir completed an MBA in Corporate Finance and Investments from the USC Marshall School of Business. Following that, in 2006-2007, Shabir pursued an Accounting Certification at UCLA. Moving back in time, Shabir obtained an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern California in 2002. Finally, in 2000, Shabir received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the same university. Additionally, in June 2022, Shabir obtained a certification called the Asian Executive Leadership Program from McKinsey & Company.
