Motoki Wu

Motoki Wu is an experienced Applied AI Engineer currently at Salient since October 2025. Previously, Motoki held the position of Software Engineer (Machine Learning) at Cresta from October 2019 to September 2025, and served as Lead Data Scientist and Senior Data Scientist at Chegg Inc. from May 2018 to September 2019. Other roles include NLP and Deep Learning Engineer at WriteLab, Co-Founder and Head of Data Science at FoxType, and Senior Data Scientist and Co-Founder at Lingonautics. Additional experience includes Data Science Advisor at RiteTag, Data Science Fellow at Zipfian Academy, and graduate research roles at the University of Washington and Columbia Basin Research. Motoki holds a Bachelor of Science in Statistics and Applied Mathematics from the University of California, Davis, and has studied at Diablo Valley College.
