Nima Elyasi is an undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at UCLA, with an expected graduation date in June 2026. Nima currently serves as an Undergraduate Research Intern at UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science, and as a Structural Engineering Intern at SEED Santa Cruz, Inc., focusing on SolidWorks design and environmental sustainability. As a Propulsion Engineer with the Bruin Spacecraft Group, Nima collaborates with NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab on ion-thruster propulsion systems for CubeSat spacecraft. Additionally, Nima leads propulsion systems designs for the Rocket Project at UCLA and contributes as a mentor in the Summer Health Institute at Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System. Previous experience includes roles as an Assistant Manager at Domino's and involvement in a political campaign for Steve McShane, where Nima facilitated substantial fundraising efforts.
