John Wingo

John Wingo has extensive experience in education and leadership, having served at San Bernardino City Unified School District since August 1999 as a Program Specialist for Linked Learning Pathways and as a Science Teacher with roles including Program Lead for Law and Society Careers Pathway and Teacher Association Vice President. Wingo's involvement in the California Teachers Association from July 2009 to June 2019 included serving as a State Council member and Vice Chair of the Alternative Education Committee. Prior to their educational career, Wingo worked as a Biochemist at the University of California, Riverside, focusing on molecular genetics, and as Assistant Director of Human Resources at Cole Vocational Services. Wingo holds multiple advanced degrees, including an ABD in Public Policy from the University of Southern California and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Brandman University, along with a Master's in Biochemistry from the University of California, Riverside.
