Michelle Thompson

Michelle Thompson's work experience includes positions at various organizations in the field of conservation biology and research. Michelle is currently serving as the Exequiel Ezcurra Director of Conservation Biology at the San Diego Natural History Museum. Prior to this, they were a Lead Conservation Ecologist at The Field Museum and a Teaching/Research Assistant at Florida International University. Michelle has also worked as an Associate Biologist at Pangea Biological, a Research Technician at the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), a Research Technician at the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance, and an Agricultural Standards Inspector at the County of San Diego.

Michelle Thompson studied Biology - Ecology as a PhD student at Florida International University from 2012 to 2018. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science (M.S.) in Ecology at San Francisco State University, from 2008 to 2011. Michelle also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from UC San Diego, although the start and end years for this degree are not provided.
