Hala Madanat

Hala Madanat is a distinguished academic and researcher with a robust career at San Diego State University since August 2008, where roles have included Vice President for Research and Innovation, Distinguished Professor, and Interim Vice President of Research and Innovation. Hala has also served as the Director and Professor in the School of Public Health and as a Core Investigator at The Institute for Behavioral and Community Health. Previously, Hala held the position of Deputy Director at the San Diego Prevention Research Center from 2012 to September 2020, and worked as an Assistant Professor at Utah Valley University from 2006 to 2008. Hala Madanat earned a PhD in Sociology and a Master of Science in Community Health from Brigham Young University, along with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of Jordan.
