Emma Secker has a diverse work experience spanning from 2010 to the present. Emma started their career as a Features Writer for The Daily Aztec in 2010 and worked there until 2011. In 2011, they joined San Diego State University as a Writing Tutor, providing assistance and tutoring for two classes of RWS students. Emma stayed in this role until 2012.

From 2012 to 2013, Emma worked as a Columnist for Brick Road Magazine, where they contributed to the growth and success of the magazine through their writing. Concurrently, they also served as a Program Leader at THINK Together, a role they held for a few months in 2012.

In 2013, Emma worked as a Leasing Consultant at Garden Communities under Robert Half International for a brief period. Following this, they joined Herbalife as a Nutrition Consultant that same year.

Emma transitioned into the education field as a Substitute Teacher for Del Mar Union School District and San Dieguito Union High School District in 2016, and then became an English Language Teacher at Sweetwater Union High School District in 2017.

Prior to their teaching positions, Emma worked as a Waitress at The Rooftop La Jolla in 2015. Overall, Emma's work experience showcases their diverse skills in writing, teaching, consulting, and customer service.

Emma Secker earned a Bachelor's degree at San Diego State University from 2008 to 2012. During their undergraduate studies, they focused on English, Psychology, and Interdisciplinary Studies. Later, from 2014 to 2016, Emma pursued an Education degree at San Diego State University and obtained a Single Subject English Credential.
