Emma Sonduck is the Assistant Director of Development at San Francisco Friends School. Emma has over five years of experience in the development field, with a focus on individual giving.

Emma began their career as the Individual Giving Manager at California College of the Arts in November 2009. In this role, they were responsible for managing the individual donor program under $5,000, as well as named and endowed scholarship reporting and assisting with events.

During their time at CCA, Emma instituted best practices regarding renewal and acquisition mailings, which increased the direct mail program from one appeal/year targeted at previous donors to two direct mail appeals/year focused on acquisition. Emma also oversaw direct mail to approximately 12,000 constituents (alumni, parents, friends), drafting copy for letters and collateral, working with designers to create collateral and letterhead packages, and designing segmentation with research, reviewing past performance, and designing queries in Raiser’s Edge. Additionally, Emma deployed email follow ups to direct mail appeals through Constant Contact.

In addition to their direct mail responsibilities, Emma also managed CCA’s mid-level donor program ($1,000 to $4,999), which included donor research, acting as point of contact for donors, working with the events manager to oversee donor events, and creating donor benefits and engagement opportunities such as smaller events focused on student work and ongoing communication to connect donors to CCA.

Emma Sonduck's educational career includes a BA in Theirtory from Mount Holyoke College, as well as degrees from The New School and the Emma Willard School.

They work with John Grandison - Director of Facilities, Kristen Daniel - Director of High School Transition, and Laura Medina Quintanar - Horizons Executive Director. Their manager is Mike Hanas, Head of School.
