Kristin Lauria Gurley

Kristin Lauria Gurley has a diverse and extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Kristin started as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist at Mills-Peninsula Medical Center in 2001, before taking on a role as a Community Wellness Program Supervisor at Sequoia Hospital where they worked with senior management and community organizations to plan and implement community health programs.

In 2006, Gurley became the Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMSC) Program Manager at the Utah Department of Health and Primary Children's Medical Center, where they also received recognition as the 2009 EMSC Program Manager of the year.

Kristin then worked as a Program Manager for the Hospital and Healthcare Preparedness Program at the Utah Department of Health & Primary Children's Medical Center, overseeing activities and partnerships with grantees.

At UPMC, Gurley served as an Administrative Director, overseeing the implementation of collaborative initiatives and programs that addressed the health needs of older adults.

As a Private Contractor, they served as the Lead Assessment & Evaluation Designer for the Statewide Implementation of an Evidence-Based Guideline NHTSA / HRSA project.

Finally, Gurley joined the San Mateo Medical Center as the Director of Performance Strategies, leading their largest Value Based Care Program and successfully obtaining all available funding for metrics since 2013.

Kristin Lauria Gurley has a diverse educational background. Kristin pursued their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science at William & Mary from 1995 to 1999. Following that, they attended the University of Florida from 1999 to 2001, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in clinical exercise physiology.

Continuing their educational journey, Kristin went on to complete their Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Public Health at San Jose State University from 2003 to 2005.

In addition to their academic achievements, Kristin Gurley has also obtained additional certifications. In 2008, they obtained the Certified Public Manager certification from the Utah Department of Health. Kristin has also earned the Lean Certified certification from San Mateo Medical Center, although the specific dates of obtaining this certification are not available.
