Mirafe Gebriel Marcos

Mirafe Gebriel Marcos serves as the Country General Manager for Ethiopia at Sand Technologies since April 2020, focusing on addressing the global technology talent shortage and developing a world-class technology consulting and outsourcing business. Prior to this role, Mirafe spent nearly a decade at the Ethiopian Agricultural Transformation Institute, where responsibilities included senior leadership in agribusiness and market projects, managing substantial budgets, and overseeing key collaborations with government and private sector partners. Mirafe's prior experience includes economist positions at the World Bank Group in Ethiopia, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, along with earlier work as an analyst at The World Bank. Educational credentials include a Master’s Degree in Development Economics and Public Policy from Princeton University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Grinnell College.
