Dr. Michael T.

Dr. Michael T. has an extensive work experience spanning over several decades. Dr. Michael currently works as the Principal Investigator/Chief Architect at SandboxAQ. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Enterprise Architect at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), where they led a team of architects and applied the architecture discipline to achieve technological superiority.

Dr. Michael T. also worked as a Consultant from 2013 to 2022, and during this time, they developed expertise in emerging technologies, infrastructure and systems engineering, and scripting. Dr. Michael later joined Perspecta as the Enterprise Architecture Lead and Senior Manager, where they established an enterprise architecture team and focused on improving cyber risk detection and mitigation.

Before their time at Perspecta, Dr. Michael T. held the position of Adjunct Faculty at Ashford University, where they provided instruction on various subjects and received commendations for reviewing and commenting on graduate textbooks. Dr. Michael has also held roles at General Dynamics Information Technology, MITRE, SAIC, and the U.S. Army & ARNG, where they gained experience in network engineering, systems analysis, and electronics.

Dr. Michael T. completed their education in a chronological order. Dr. Michael first attended the City University of Seattle from 2003 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Dr. Michael then pursued a Master of Business Administration degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix from 2006 to 2008. Following that, they continued their studies at the University of Phoenix and obtained a Doctorate of Business Administration in Business Administration from 2008 to 2011.

In addition to their formal education, Dr. Michael T. has obtained several certifications throughout their career. In November 2007, they received the ISO/IEC 20000 Certification from APMG-International and the ISO/IEC 20000 Service Quality Management Certification from EXIN. In October 2007, they achieved the ITIL version 3 Foundation in IT Service Management certification from APMG-International. More recently, in May 2021, they obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS). Dr. Michael T. also holds the CISSP certification from (ISC)², which they earned in March 2018. Dr. Michael previously obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services in January 2018. Other certifications they have acquired include Security+ ce from CompTIA in November 2015 and Private Security Services Registration from the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services in March 2015.
