Christopher Pitts

Christopher Pitts is an R&D Computer Scientist at Sandia National Laboratories since May 2017, where responsibilities include serving as Principal Investigator for data and algorithm assurance on a multidisciplinary ATR research project and leading a team to integrate automated testing for machine learning models. Additional experience includes a role as an Industry Advisement Board Member at the University of Utah College of Computing and as a Software Engineer, developing backend software for real-time data processing and continuous integration pipelines. Prior positions at Brigham Young University involved serving as a System Administrator and Lab Supervisor, focusing on software deployment and C++ programming solutions. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Computer Science from The University of New Mexico, a Master’s degree from Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor’s Degree from Brigham Young University.
