Nathaniel Grady is an experienced R&D Optical Engineer at Sandia National Laboratories, involved in the study of THz, microwave, and IR metamaterials, nonlinear THz properties of superconductors, and high-intensity ultrafast THz sources since October 2014. Prior to this role, Nathaniel served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Los Alamos National Laboratory from October 2011 to October 2014, and held a postdoctoral position at the Institute of Physics & Beijing National Lab for Condensed Matter Physics, where Nathaniel was recognized with the International Young Scientist Fellowship. Nathaniel's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Applied Physics/ECE from Rice University, where Nathaniel also completed graduate studies from 2002 to 2010, preceded by a BS in Physics from the State University of New York at Fredonia. Nathaniel's early experience includes tutoring in physics and chemistry at the SUNY Fredonia Learning Center.
