Ollie Rankin

Ollie Rankin has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the technology, entertainment, and virtual reality industries.

In 2016, Rankin served as the VP and Head of VR Production at Uncorporeal Systems Inc., where they managed virtual reality productions.

From 2017 to 2019, Rankin worked as an On Set VFX Supervisor at FuseFX, overseeing visual effects for film and television productions.

In 2017, Rankin joined VRJAM as a Creative Director and member of the technical brain trust. Ollie played a crucial role in building a real-time platform that enabled virtual music performances in VR and live-streaming.

Rankin briefly joined Epic Games in 2020 as part of the Unreal Virtual Production Fellowship before moving on to co-found Lost Horizon in the same year. As the Co-founder and Technical Director, they played a key role in the development of the company's offerings.

Prior to these roles, Rankin founded From the Trees to the Stars in 2007, where they served as Founder and Futurist until 2022. Ollie also founded United Humans in 2022 and assumed the role of Founder and Director.

In 2012, Rankin took on the position of CEO and Creative Director at Pansensory Interactive.

Most recently, in 2022, Rankin joined Sansar as the Vice President of Live Entertainment, where they are responsible for overseeing live entertainment initiatives within the company.

Ollie Rankin completed their Bachelor of Science (honors) in Computer Science from The University of Auckland, which they attended from 1995 to 1998. Prior to that, they studied Music and Science at James Cook High School from 1990 to 1994. Furthermore, Ollie obtained a certification in Virtual Production from Unreal Engine in November 2020.
